Did you know that in the Western Mediterranean countries, every year there are 2,5M dogs that contract leishmaniasis?

Did you know that some of treatments against leishmaniosis could be toxic for kidneys, liver and heart of our dogs?

Did you know that circa 1/3 of worldwide circulating leishmanias are resistant to at least one of drugs against leishmaniasis in dogs?

Today is the national day for leishmaniosis prevention in Spain. Following up our mission to make genomics accessible for Global Health, we have partnered with Miscota and Elanco to fight against canine leishmaniosis by researching the pathogenic biomarkers of Leishmania infantum.

Together with Miscota and Elanco, for every Seresto collar sold out, 1 € is given to further our research, together with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, to develop better biomarkers to predict drug-resistance and improve treatment for our best friends!

If you want to further know what is canine leishmaniosis and how research may improve the health and quality of life of our dogs, you can watch and share a recent interview from our founding partners Dr. Xavi Roura and Prof. Lluís Ferrer.
